• Managed the movies successful Kickstarter campaign and supervised interns
Nina Berman: Photographer
I directed a short documentary that follows Nina Berman, photographer and journalist, who is the the author of two monographs: Purple Hearts – Back from Iraq, and Homeland, which examine the aftermath of war and the militarization of American life. Her photographic series Marine Wedding is considered an iconic work on the Iraq war.
Running: The Campaign for City Council
Worked with award-winning filmmaker, Stanley Nelson's production company Firelight Media, on a verite documentary about the historic 2001 NY City Council race during 9/11. As a videographer, I filmed the stories of 8 candidates in the predominantly Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights. Aired on PBS and won Henry Hampton and Cine Golden Eagle awards.
Post Punk Kitchen Web Series
Directed and produced this cult favorite web series, starring best-selling vegan cookbook authors Isa Moskowitz and Terry Romero. This groundbreaking series featured vegan cooking and rock and roll performances. Isa's Post Punk Kitchen empire now includes many books and two restaurants, Modern Love in Omaha, Nebraska, and Brooklyn, NY.
